Susan Jedd, LCPC

Susan-Jedd-LCPC

I became a licensed clinical professional counselor in 1991. I have been fascinated by the parent-child relationship since I became a mom. I hold a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in counseling psychology. I have been providing counseling services to children, teens, and adults at the Bozeman nCenter since 2014. I approach my clients with acceptance and compassion, as well as a sense of fun. I love to share my experience of improving family relationships through deep mutual connection. My adorable therapy dog Gus is also committed to helping through connecting-and he’s hypoallergenic!
My theoretical orientation is grounded in person-centered therapy with a focus on the importance of interpersonal attachments for building safe emotional connections and an empowered sense of self. I have studied the work of Gordon Neufeld, who focuses on building strong connections that support children’s maturation and development.
I am trained in emotionally focused therapy, which I believe can provide emotional resolution to relationships. My goal is to provide a therapeutic relationship that makes important emotional shifts possible. I believe that each person has a need to connect deeply with others and I value helping achieve this.

I work to remain open-minded to my clients’ experiences, while seeking to connect them to the best evidence-based practices available. Pairing counseling with neurotherapy supports my clients’ ability to make lasting, positive life-changes.

I love to share my experience of improving family relationships through deep mutual connection. My adorable therapy dog Gus is also committed to helping through connecting–and he’s hypoallergenic!
