Advanced Neurostimulation Therapy in Montana
At the nCenter, we utilize advanced neurostimulation technologies to promote mental and physical well-being. Similar to neurofeedback, neurostimulation is effective, passive, non-invasive, and drug-free. Our approach integrates pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (pEMF) and microcurrent stimulation methods, including transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), and transcranial random noise stimulation (tRNS). These techniques support overall brain health and function.
We specialize in combining neurofeedback, nutrition, counseling, and psychological assessments with neurostimulation to provide comprehensive care. To ensure the best approach for each client, we administer a Quantitative Electroencephalography (qEEG) brain map, which measures, analyzes, and quantifies brainwave activity to determine the most effective neurostimulation protocols.
Benefits of Neurostimulation
Neurostimulation enhances brain functional connectivity and promotes overall balance. It can be a standalone treatment for various conditions, including:
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Persistent depression and anxiety
Information processing difficulties
Many other cognitive, physical and mental health challenges
Each client presents unique needs, and we tailor our approach accordingly. Our team continuously refines treatment methods until we find the optimal modality or combination for each individual. The goal is to improve brain function, leading to enhanced mood, energy levels, and overall well-being. By promoting nervous system regulation, neurostimulation helps clients achieve a sense of calm and stability.
Who Can Benefit from Neurostimulation?
Neurostimulation is beneficial for individuals experiencing brain injuries, mental health issues, developmental challenges, physical challenges, or age-related cognitive decline. Our staff has observed that this treatment often produces long-lasting results, making the brain more resilient. However, in cases of physical or emotional stress, periodic 'tune-ups' may be necessary even after completing treatment.
We do not interfere with prescribed medications except for ADHD medications, which clients may no longer need after treatment.
Holistic Support for Optimal Results
To maximize the benefits of neurostimulation, we encourage clients to adopt lifestyle changes that support brain health, including:
Proper sleep hygiene
Balanced nutrition
Regular exercise
Psychological well-being
Our nCenter team includes counselors working with individuals aged 4 to 95, a functional medicine nutritionist to support sleep and dietary habits, and a clinical psychologist who conducts psychological assessments to better understand each client’s needs.
Treatment Process
Neurostimulation typically leads to symptom relief and improved functionality, but achieving long-term balance and stability requires time and collaboration. To ensure the best outcomes, we emphasize:
Open communication and client engagement in the therapeutic process
A team-based approach to finding the most effective treatments
Integration of additional modalities such as Vielight, Narbis, LENS, and Mendi for enhanced results
Getting Started
To begin treatment, clients undergo a qEEG assessment to determine the most suitable neurostimulation protocols. The qEEG process takes about an hour, including:
Ensuring proper impedance
Recording 10 minutes of brain activity with eyes open
Recording 10 minutes with eyes closed
After processing the qEEG data, our Physician Assistant (PA), Alison Hall will review the results with the client and as needed, with the parents. Our PA shows the correlation between the qEEG results and the symptoms and functional difficulties the client has and then recommend appropriate neurostimulation and complementary services.
For best results, we recommend:
Two 30-minute neurostimulation sessions per week (up to 30 sessions)
A weekly one-hour session with a counselor or nutritionist for a comprehensive, wraparound approach
The Power of Neuroplasticity
Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to adapt, learn new skills, and modify behaviors. With the support of neurostimulation, counseling, and nutrition, the brain can rewire itself for optimal functionality and resilience.
